In this leadership role, you will oversee the food and beverage program at Parkland Ancaster, including six dining venues, catering services, and special events. Working closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team, you will help shape exceptional dining experiences through innovative menus, engaging events, and service excellence initiatives that enhance resident quality of life.
As the bridge between front-of-house and back-of-house operations, you will lead and develop dining room leaders and their teams, ensuring service standards consistently meet or exceed expectations. Through regular interaction with residents, families, and guests, you will gather feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and help create memorable dining experiences that set Parkland apart.

About the Opportunity
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of dining service professionals, creating an engaging and high-performing culture focused on hospitality and resident experience
- Oversee day-to-day dining operations, ensuring exceptional service, food presentation, resident satisfaction, and compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements
- Partner closely with the Chef to continuously enhance menus, service delivery, and the overall dining experience based on resident feedback and quality-of-life outcomes
- Lead all catering, special events, and ancillary revenue programs, identifying opportunities to grow revenue while delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Manage departmental budgets, labour costs, inventory, purchasing, and operational resources to achieve financial targets
- Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and team members while championing service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
In addition to placing high value on collaboration, accountability, and service excellence, you bring:
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field with 3–5 years of management experience or 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, senior living, food service, restaurant, hotel, or dining operations environments
- Advanced Food Safety Certification
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, labour management, inventory control, and cost management
- Experience coordinating catering programs, special events, or ancillary revenue initiatives
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, particularly with seniors and their families
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with POS systems and other hospitality technologies is considered an asset
- CPR and Emergency First Aid certification is considered an asset
