Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Server will play a vital role in maintaining efficient restaurant operations and delivering memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and food safety standards
- Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of dining areas, utensils, and service stations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Follow all food handling and safety protocols in accordance with health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with serving, upselling, and cashiering enhances effectiveness in this role
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor
