Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering design and estimating in residential high-rise and commercial projects. This is a full time role, the selected candidate will be responsible for performing detailed take-offs and computer-aided design (CAD) tasks. They will review tender documents, prepare job costs and work with our team to identify potential VE savings.
Qualifications:
- Technical drawings, Communication, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills
- Experience in mechanical engineering design
- Must have minimum 5 years experience in residential high-rise and commercial projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Estimating take-offs
- Use of Accubid Bidwinner software
- Ability to work effectively in team environment
- Degree/diploma in mechanical engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical systems and design in the construction field

Responsibilities
- Prepare sleeving drawings using CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Create detailed schematics and drafting documents for project specific applications.
- Collaborate with construction team to analyze system designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Estimate project costs and timelines, providing accurate assessments for bidding and budgeting purposes.
- Utilize premium tools like Revit and MicroStation to enhance design accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss progress and address any design/construction challenges.
