Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and structural issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs and maintenance including engine work, brake service, suspension repairs, and fluid replacements with precision and efficiency
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately
- Follow detailed repair manuals and schematics to ensure proper assembly and disassembly of vehicle components
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics using specialized equipment to pinpoint issues quickly and accurately
- Lift heavy components safely during repairs, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance their experience
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine maintenance tasks
- Experience with vehicle assembly, disassembly, and component replacement
- Knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and build rapport with clients
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures and mechanic experience to troubleshoot effectively
