Job Summary:
The Bindery/Fulfillment Operator works on a variety of binding equipment, including a digital stitcher, trimmers, creasing/scoring machines and case binders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate assorted bindery equipment i.e. collators, trimmers, mechanical binding equipment, saddle stitcher, casemaker, casing-in machine, book press and assorted handwork
- Obtain work orders and determine specifications for upcoming jobs, review with crew at the start of each shift
- Check to confirm specifications and ensure books are fed into machine and glued properly
- Verify accuracy and quality of work to ensure that products meet established quality standards and expectations
