Health Care Aide / Caregiver
Location: Downtown Edmonton, Alberta
Work Schedule
- Shifts are available on both weekdays and weekends
- Must be available for a flexible schedule, including:
- Shifts ( 2 to 6 hours per day 7:30am to 11:30 am/ 8pm to 10pm/ 7am to 4pm or 4pm 10pm)
- Availability for weekends is required
- Able to start ASAP
Position Overview
The Health Care Aide/Caregiver plays a key role in supporting adults, and seniors with disabilities in their daily lives. This position provides care within Harmonize group homes as well as in clients’ private residences.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Team Lead and/or Nurse Manager to ensure continuity of care and a high standard of client support. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals across a wide range of ages and abilities.
- Light Housekeeping and maintenance of the home
- Activities of Daily living including dressing, feeding, and personal Hygiene
- Meal prepping
- Assisting Clients to appointments and community day programs
- Monitor and documentation of clients daily care and reporting to team lead/ nurse manager
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification
- Completion of a provincially recognized Health Care Aide (HCA) Program and able to provide us the certificate.
- A diploma or degree in a related field is considered an asset
- First Aid
Experience
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related experience in a healthcare or caregiving setting
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to provide a driver’s abstract
- Clear Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check) issued within the last 6 months
- Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal)
