Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services to diverse patient populations, mostly children with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through comprehensive evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide direct therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and therapeutic exercises.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in case management activities, including discharge planning and follow-up care coordination.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent credential. Only registered applicants are going to be considered for the role.
- Prior experience working in hospital or acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with children and adolescents is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
