We are seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Pharmacy Manager to lead our Kitchener pharmacy. This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist who is passionate about patient care, operational excellence, team leadership, and business growth.
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of the pharmacy. This includes ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, financial performance, staff development, and the continued growth of professional pharmacy services.
The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team while building strong relationships with patients, physicians, and the local community.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations
- Oversee all daily pharmacy operations and workflow.
- Lead, coach, and develop pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
- Foster a positive, patient-focused, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and patient satisfaction.
Clinical Excellence
- Deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care and medication counselling.
- Perform clinical assessments and medication reviews.
- Administer vaccinations and other injectable medications.
- Expand professional pharmacy services, including chronic disease management and preventative health programs.
Business Performance
- Manage pharmacy financial performance, labour scheduling, inventory, and expenses.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to achieve business goals.
- Drive growth through patient engagement, physician outreach, and professional services.
- Support marketing and community outreach initiatives.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and all applicable legislation.
- Maintain quality assurance and medication safety programs.
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to pharmacy policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Assistant Pharmacy Manager preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience managing pharmacy operations, inventory, and financial performance.
- Certified to administer injections and immunizations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for patient-centred care and continuous improvement.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $110,000 annually
- Professional Services Incentive: 30% profit sharing on eligible professional services
