EMERGENCY RESTORATION CREW LEAD
Denver Property Restoration is looking to hire a new member to our team. We are a COR certified 24-hour emergency response company, with our focus on the restoration of fire, flood, wind damage, sewer backups, mould remediation, asbestos abatement and trauma site clean ups within Winnipeg and remote communities. We pride ourselves on helping to restore a home or business to its pre-loss condition and strive to maintain a reputation for excellent work and customer service.
We are looking for a customer-focused, hardworking individual with a can-do attitude, and willingness to learn and grow. As part of this team, you may be exposed to working extended hours in difficult situations where physical labour is required. We are seeking an individual with a strong work ethic, who is willing to be trained and is motivated to perform accurately and effectively.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform controlled demolition of affected building materials (drywall, plaster, insultation, vapour barrier, casings, flooring) and preparing for re-construction.
- Able to engage in physical activities, lift and carry heavy equipment, contents, clean and haul building debris.
- Able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Provide own personal tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site, ensure Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are being followed.
- Support and participate in continuous improvements in skills and training.
- Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project.
- Receives updates of work progress from Emergency Technicians
- Additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Manitoba driver’s license and able to provide a Criminal Background Check, a Child Abuse Registry Check, an Adult Abuse Registry Check, and a driver’s abstract.
- Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs. (drying equipment and debris).
- Typical work sites include category 1,2,3 water, mould, asbestos, fire and smoke conditions.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must be computer literate and have knowledge of Encircle Hydro.
- Preferred to have IICRC Certifications (WRT, FSRT and ASD)
- Must be fluent in English.
- Ability to work unsupervised, and in a team environment.
- Must have strong leadership skills.
- Flexibility – typical hours are 7:30am to 4pm weekdays but overtime may be required.
- Must be able to be on an on-call rotation for after hours and weekend work.
- Possibility of out-of-town work.
- Practical knowledge of safe operations of power and hand tools.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- CSA steel toe footwear must be worn at all times when on job sites or in the warehouse.
- Rate of pay will depend on experience.
