What You’ll Be Doing
Programs and Shared Services is a Centre of Expertise within People, Culture and Brand. Reporting to the Director, Global Mobility, you will be responsible the management of CIBC’s Foreign Worker (FW) Program (Canada), including assisting with ongoing continuous improvement and special projects, as required.
How You’ll Succeed
Program Management – Manage the background screening process for candidates to confirm employment eligibility from an immigration perspective. Maintain oversight over processes that support our program, and recommend process improvements where applicable. Create reports and perform monthly, semi-annual, and random audits to ensure candidates and employees have ongoing employment eligibility, as well as compliance with immigration laws. Escalate matters to CIBC’s Immigration Compliance Officer (ICO) and engage for advice and support as necessary.
Program Consulting – Responding to inquiries from people leaders, business partners and HR professionals and provide advice and consultation as required, including in support of our talent management strategy. Investigate and prepare comprehensive responses to inquiries within established timelines. Escalate complete inquiries received in the mailbox to Director, Global Mobility, or the ICO.
