Kirian Excavating & Transport Inc. is an experienced excavation and transportation company that has been providing top notch service to the greater Edmonton area for over 20 years. We specialize in small/medium excavation, equipment transportation, and material transportation services.
We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician to join our Maintenance Division.
This position requires someone who is able to diagnose, overhaul, adjust and repair a variety of diesel truck and trailer equipment. The successful candidate will be able to perform their duties with limited supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on all fleet vehicles and assets.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely to disassemble, repair, or replace components.
- Weld metal components as needed for repairs or modifications using various welding techniques.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with coworkers to assemble new machinery or retrofit existing equipment for optimal performance.
- Fill out and complete all required paperwork upon job completion and follow internal policies to ensure accurate maintenance records are kept up to date.
- Willingness to work overtime when required to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Shift hours: Monday-Friday 8am -5pm.
Experience
- Journeyman Heavy Duty - Truck and Transport Mechanic Certification (required)
- CVIP License (preferred)
- Minimum 4 years mechanical experience in a shop setting.
- Skills in welding, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical assembly, and maintenance procedures.
- Proficient in English
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
- Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract
- Must have reliable transportation
- Class 1 driver's license preferred but not required

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
