SCOPE:
Under the direction and supervision of the Guest Services Manager, key responsibility is for supporting the operation of the Guest Services Department. The Guest Services Supervisor supports the Guest Services Manager & General Manager as well as liaises with other departments in the implementation of the hotel’s Guest Service policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
➢ Coordinates advance and ongoing arrangements for special arriving groups and/or individuals.
➢ Supports accounting effort through timely examination and action towards accounting irregularities and/or requests.
➢ Maintains inventory of all Front Office stationary and sundry items.
➢ Monitors all Front Desk activities, coaching GSR’s and Bellpersons as required.
➢ Performs all Night Audit duties, including but not limited to posting of Room & Tax charges, balancing guest accounts, telephones, Food & Beverage outlets, and end of day reports.
➢ Reviews all departmental documentation, runs statistical reports, and balances each department.
➢ Conducts hotel tours and services clients within the company and property policies.
➢ Works closely with other required departments to completely satisfy the requirements of Guest Services.
➢ Prepares necessary reports for statistical analysis, departmental operations, and hotel preparation.
➢ Fulfills all Front Desk and Reservations duties required while on shift
➢ Assists and supports the Guest Services Manager as well as the General Manager with any initiatives required to ensure the ongoing success of the hotel.
➢ Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
➢ Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
➢ Follows company policies and procedures. Leads by example, in the Four Key Principles
QUALIFICATIONS:
➢ Experience in hospitality industry required, guest services experience and night audit experience preferred, accounting experience considered an asset.
➢ Completion of post-secondary education and/or equivalent industry experience.
➢ Successful applicant must have excellent organization, presentation, customer service and communication skills.
➢ Be a team player, lending support to colleagues when possible and in turn seeking support when required.
➢ Maintains an upbeat and professional demeanor and attitude.
➢ Must have ability to work under minimal supervision and with priority deadlines.
➢ Must possess a valid G-license.
➢ Bilingualism is an asset.
➢ Availability must include overnights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Pay: $24.40-$28.71 per hour
