Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our skilled woodworking and construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom cabinetry, woodworking, and related trades, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves crafting high-quality cabinets and furniture, installing them on-site, and collaborating with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects. A comprehensive understanding of various construction and finishing techniques is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to produce custom cabinetry and woodwork.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinets using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- Install cabinets and related fixtures on-site with precision, ensuring alignment and secure fastening.
- Perform restoration work on existing cabinetry or furniture as needed.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool handling procedures.
- Assist with other carpentry or construction tasks such as flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, siding, or masonry as required.
- Use construction estimating skills for project planning and material procurement when necessary.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely throughout the job site.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar woodworking/carpentry role with a focus on custom cabinetry.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking equipment.
- Knowledge of various construction trades including masonry, roofing, siding, plumbing, electrical work, and flooring installation is a plus.
- Familiarity with restoration projects and rebar installation is advantageous.
- Experience in construction painting, caulking, reinstallation of rebar or siding is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods. Pay: $18.94-$24.18 per hour
