Position Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and safety-conscious Crew Truck Labourer to join our expanding team supporting operations across Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.
In this role, you will provide critical physical and logistical support for the construction, repair, maintenance, and decommissioning of oil and gas well sites and facilities.
Operating as part of a mobile crew, you will work outdoors in dynamic field environments, helping crews build and maintain infrastructure, manage equipment, and ensure a secure, compliant job site.
Key Responsibilities
Site Support, Construction & Maintenance
Expect to perform hands-on mechanical tasks daily, including changing out valves and servicing inline equipment. You will assist with the construction, equipment repairs, and routine maintenance of oilfield facilities.
Your work will include supporting crew activities during wellsite infrastructure upgrades, modifications, and final decommissioning phases.
You will also load, secure, and transport tools, materials, and scrap using company crew trucks. Operating basic hand and power tools like grinders, saws, and cutting torches safely and effectively is required.
Safety, Compliance & HSE
We require a zero-incident mindset. This means strictly following all company environmental and safety protocols and always wearing mandatory PPE, including hardhats, coveralls, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
You will participate actively in all company health, safety, and environmental programs. Holding and maintaining active First Aid, H2S Alive, and Common Safety Orientation certificates is mandatory.
Spotting and immediately reporting any workplace hazards, equipment defects, or unsafe conditions to supervisors is a critical part of this role.
Logistics & Equipment Handling
You will be responsible for keeping all crew truck tools and generators clean, organized, and in good working order.
Your day will involve working closely with picker operators and site foremen to complete daily operational tasks efficiently.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
This physically demanding role requires the capability to handle heavy physical labour, including regularly lifting and carrying heavy oilfield materials and equipment. You must be comfortable standing, kneeling, bending, crouching, and driving or riding in crew trucks for long shifts.
The work is primarily field based in remote locations, requiring you to adapt to changing Peace Region weather. You must maintain the flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and irregular hours based on project needs.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has one year of preferred experience in general labour. One year of preferred experience in the oil and gas sector is also an asset.
A valid driver’s license with a clean abstract for operating crew vehicles is required. You must be in or willing to commute to Fort St. John, BC or Dawson Creek, BC.
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
