Smarts Tutoring provides private, in-home tutoring for children in grades K-12. We provide effective tutoring services to help students build confidence, improve their school experience, and meet their academic goals.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
- Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge based on the Ontario curriculum
- Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote greater understanding of material
- Provide remedial and enrichment support for students
- Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress
- Tutors will be able to tutor Reading, Writing, Math, English, and Learning Skills (including computer skills), etc., as required
- Creating, researching and obtaining curriculum and tutorial tools that suit the needs of the students
- Writing and submitting evaluations and other reports as requested
- Experience working with children and youth is essential

Qualifications
We are looking for qualified teachers or teacher candidates who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- 1-2 years of teaching experience whether independent or supervised
- You hold a registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
- You are qualified to teach in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Ontario
- You are a current teacher candidate; pursuing a bachelor of education
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
