Multi-Level Welders Role Description
Entry 0-2 years experience:
Wages $19.00-$21.00 to commensurate with Experience
Basic welding skills; operates welding equipment to join metal parts according to blueprints, under supervision; duties include preparing materials, grinding, tack welding, cleaning welds, and maintaining safety standards; assist senior welders, perform quality checks, and handle heavy, repetitive tasks.
Intermediate 2-5 years experience:
Wages $22.00-$24.00 to commensurate with Experience
Able to work independently on most projects, requiring only occasional supervision. Proficient in interpreting blueprints, performing layout, and executing high-quality welds in various positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Senior 5+ years experience:
Wages $25.00 + to commensurate with Experience
Highly skilled professional responsible for complex fabrication, welding, and fitting of metal components, requiring 5+ years of experience, expertise in all types of welding, and in-depth blueprint reading. Able to ensure structural integrity, mentor apprentices, maintain equipment, and inspect work for compliance with quality standards.
Holds CWB certification.
All candidates will be required to undergo a practical welding evaluation as part of the hiring process
Term: Permanent Full time; 44-hour work week with overtime as required
Qualification-
§ Proficiency in Mig welding
§ Experience in material handling
§ Ability to read blueprints and interpret basic dimensions
§ Strong attention to detail
§ Commitment to safety standards
§ Strong communication and teamwork skills
§ Completion of a welding certification program or equivalent experience
§ Forklift Lic/Exp an asset
§ Experience with fabrication processes including machining, plasma cutting, and soldering.
§ Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimates.
Key Requirements:
· a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing welding environment preferred; however willing to train the right candidate with the right work ethic
· Attention to Detail - Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow quality control procedures to ensure consistent paint finishes.
· Physical Stamina - Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds; ability to perform strenuous repetitive work
· Ability to wear protective clothing for an entire shift
· Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to work safely.
· Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other departments to ensure production goals are met.
· Time Management - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
· Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production demands
