Art Director

The CREW Art Director will be responsible for design and art direction producing innovative ideas for branding and advertising campaigns in all media. Core responsibilities are a combination of print, online and design with some broadcast and video experience. Designing various client projects such as print communication, websites, logos and stationery, outdoor and online ads, product packaging, interactive and educational displays, and indoor and outdoor signage. In this role, your ability to understand marketing and tell stories through visual mediums will help us transform small ideas into big executions, inspire the look and feel of brands, and, well, just make things look great.

Work with the Marketing team to solve client’s business needs
Lead other members of the Creative Team in execution of ideas
Gain an understanding of the target audience and business
Generate creative ideas and concepts in order to fulfil the client briefs
Present concepts and ideas internally to Client Team before presenting ideas to clients
Work in editing suites to oversee the finished product
Work on designs in order to produce an effective advertising campaign
Manage projects, on and off location
Work within a budget
Edit the final results for presentation to the client
Leading brainstorms across teams to develop a strong visual strategy
Pitching big ideas to the Chief Creative Officer, Design Director and/or client
Consulting with copywriters, marketing team, and clients to strategize cohesive design goals for all projects
Collaborating alongside marketing, copywriting, and sales teams to satisfy client goals

Weekly/Bi-Weekly 1-1 w/ DD
Annual and mid-year review of personal development plan w/ DD
Inspired and driven by helping organizations and others win with marketing and creative ideas
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in advertising and design
Post-Secondary degree – Fine Arts, Design, Production (Bonus)
Agency, Design Firm experience
Highly creative, thorough understanding of photography, typography, and production
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working well as part of a team
Excellent presentation skills and comfortable with clients
Excellent computer skills in relevant art and design software packages
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Highly motivated and well-organized
Ability to work within strict budgets
