Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Sprayer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying high quality finishes to cabinetry and related wood products, ensuring a consistent, professional appearance that meets company and client standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cabinets and wood components for finishing including sanding, cleaning, masking and priming
- Apply paints, stains, lacquers, and other finishes using spray equipment
- Mix coatings and match colors to specifications
- Inspect finished products to ensure smooth, even coatings and high quality results
- Maintain spray booth, tools and equipment in clean and safe working condition
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of hazardous materials
- Troubleshoot and correct finishing defects when necessary
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and output
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management as business needs require
Qualifications
- Reliable & punctual
- Strong management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in cabinet spraying, finishing or a related role
- Knowledge of spray equipment (e.g., HVLP systems) and finishing materials
- Ability to mix paints and stains accurately
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards and PPE requiments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cabinetry, woodworking or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of different wood types and finishings techniques
- Experience with custom color matching
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced production environment
- Exposure to fumes, dust and industrial coatings (PPE provided)
- Standing for extended periods and lifting materials as required
- Occasional evenings and weekend work may be required during peak periods or to meet critical deadlines
