Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy restaurant team. This is a new role. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service, delivering high-quality meals to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food safety, and providing excellent food service experiences, possibly with Italian food knowledge. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to a vibrant dining experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
- Support the kitchen team with cooking tasks, including grilling, sautéing, and plating dishes
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and presentation expectations
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage
- Adhere to health department regulations and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience in meal preparation, serving, or related roles within the food industry is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and communication within the kitchen staff
- Italian food knowledge preferred
Pay: $17.60-$24.86 per hour
