Position: Program Assistant – ABA Therapy Centre
Job Type: Independent Contractor
We are seeking an organized, dependable, and motivated Program Assistant to support the clinical, administrative, and day-to-day operations of our ABA therapy centre. This role is ideal for someone with experience or exposure in ABA, Autism Services, Early Childhood Education, or a related field who is interested in gaining further experience in a clinical ABA setting.
This is an independent contractor position.
Responsibilities
- Open the centre and prepare the facility for daily operations.
- Assist the clinical staff with preparing and organizing individualized ABA programs and materials.
- Create, print, laminate, assemble, and organize visual supports, token boards, schedules, communication supports, worksheets, and other client resources.
- Prepare and maintain program binders, data/probe sheets, and clinical documentation.
- Support with scheduling clients and staff
- Prepare materials for assessments, skill acquisition, behaviour, social skills, and group programs.
- Organize treatment rooms, toys, educational resources, therapy materials, and supplies.
- Assist therapists with preparing materials for client sessions.
- Monitor inventory and identify supplies requiring replenishment.
- Support general administrative, program development, and centre-related duties.
- Maintain client confidentiality and communicate professionally with all team members.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the Clinical Director or supervising RBA/BCBA.
Skills & Qualifications
- ABA/Autism-related Diploma, Certificate, coursework, or related education is an asset.
- Experience in an ABA centre, autism service, educational setting, or developmental services environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ABA terminology, prompting, reinforcement, skill acquisition, and data collection is an asset.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and basic computer applications.
- Able to create clear, professional, and organized client/program materials.
- Able to follow clinical direction, manage multiple priorities, and work independently.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and strict client confidentiality.
Schedule
Candidates should have availability during daytime hours, with occasional weekend availability depending on centre needs.

The Program Assistant will have opportunities to work alongside and learn from the clinical team, providing valuable exposure to clinical programming, data collection, program development, and ABA service delivery.
Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
