We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Coordinator to support our accounting and administrative operations. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, treasury support, lender reporting, insurance administration, and general office administration in a fast-paced international trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and fixed asset depreciation schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
- Support payroll processing and government remittances.
- Manage foreign currency transactions and coordinate banking activities.
- Prepare borrowing base reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Maintain credit insurance records and administer commercial insurance policies, including property, inventory, automobile, liability, and other corporate insurance.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Support external accountants with year-end financial statements and corporate tax filings.
- Maintain organized financial records, provide administrative support to management, and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small or medium-sized business.
- Experience with QuickBooks and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, fixed assets, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Experience with foreign exchange, treasury functions, lender reporting, insurance administration, inventory accounting, or international trade is an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
