Car ownership with a valid G license is a must
The chosen candidate will be assisting Construction Coordinator in the execution of the projects, including preparing and sending reports, maintaining the project schedule, overseeing daily activities on site, proactive planning, project documentation, and working to prevent risks. The Project Manager will be responsible for administering, from simple project coordination activities to supporting the development of complex project plans. You will also be responsible for directing and coordinating all on-site activities of the construction team and all subcontractors, and making sure trades, tools, equipment, and materials are available when needed. The candidate must be well organized, very efficient, extremely resourceful, and have an adaptable and positive service attitude. Candidate should be highly flexible and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
· Oversee trades and tasks that trades are doing
· Visit job sites 2-3 times per week or daily as job requires
· Provide ongoing feedback to construction coordinator regarding job performance through online platform
· Upload Daily Logs and Complete Daily To-Dos on online platform.
· Create schedule and weekly checklists on online platform
· Resolve complains; assist with discipline when necessary
· Discuss opportunities for professional development
· Ensure production and quality goals
· Review plans and sites, delegate crews and complete preconstruction Handoff form before job begins
· Maintain understanding of contract information for jobs
· Track labor hours and production against stated goals
· Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages
· Coordinate, supervise and manage subcontractors
· Monitor quality of work on sites
· Pick up material when needed
· Deliver excellent customer service
· Engage with customers to answer questions and provide explanations
· Manage and coordinate job details between the field and office
· Ensure crews have information and instructions necessary to complete jobs
· Upload all financial paperwork (i.e. material purchase receipts) to online platform every Wednesday
· Submit reports and paperwork and otherwise coordinate communication between office and job sites
· Investigate incidents, near misses, accidents, and provide relevant documents, photos and assessments to the office
· Ensure change orders are reflected and billed
· Participate in final inspection
· Coordinate with office regarding scheduling materials, equipment, and deliveries
· Be proactive in Site Management. Review all drawings, procurement sheets, trade information before starting the job.
· Be prepared for every site meeting
· Plan and coordinate trades two weeks in advance
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree/Diploma in a relevant field of study (e.g. Construction)
- Minimum of 10-15 years of construction experience in residential projects.
- Practical project management and project administration knowledge
- Experience working as a site supervisor on residential projects
- Experience successfully handling 4-5 sites at the same time
- Experience in doing large residential projects (full gut renos, new builds, additions)
- Proficiency in project management software tools such as Builder Trend/ or willing to learn the software
- Critical thinking, independent problem solving
- Outside the box thinking
- High work ethic
- Exceptional attention to detail with respect to note-taking, and data monitoring and recording, with a limited margin of error.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, organization, planning and multi-tasking skills.
- An excellent team player committed to contributing to a positive working environment.

- Solid technical background, with understanding and hands-on experience, in construction projects
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Understands technical language in engineering construction projects. Knowledge on how to read drawings
