Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AZ Flatbed Heavy Haul Driver to join our growing team in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient transportation of freight loads up to 80,000 lbs using flatbed trailers. This role requires strong knowledge of load securement, Ontario highway regulations, and safe driving practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate AZ tractor-trailer with flatbed equipment for local -haul deliveries across Ontario.
- Transport heavy loads up to 80,000 lbs safely and efficiently.
- Perform proper load securement, including chaining, strapping, and tarping.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with MTO regulations.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, trip reports, and delivery documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with Ontario traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff.
- Record mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- 3 to 5 years of experience operating flatbed heavy haul equipment.
- Familiarity with manual transmission operation is an asset.
- Proven experience handling loads up to 80,000 lbs.
- Knowledge of freight loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of route planning and delivery procedures.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Must be legal to work in Canada.
Compensation
Pay $26+/hour, based on experience
Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour
