Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify therapy needs.
- Develop customized treatment plans that align with residents’ goals and medical conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to promote functional independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses.
- Educate residents and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures.
- Monitor residents responses to treatment and adjust plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Skills
- Strong case management skills to coordinate ongoing therapy services effectively.
- Experience working with geriatric populations, demonstrating patience and adaptability.
