Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Cashier/Merchandiser to join our retail team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the proper display and organization of merchandise. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for retail sales and provide excellent customer interaction
Responsibilities
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling, and providing product demonstrations when applicable
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques
- Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth store operations
- Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
- Support sales goals through effective communication and upselling strategies
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English;
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or merchandising preferred
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accuratel
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during shifts
- Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over calls or inquiries
