Engineering, optimizing, and validating antimicrobial omniphobic surfaces
(Postdoctoral fellow)
This project is focused on developing and testing antimicrobial plastic wraps with micro/nanostructures for enabling omniphobicity. The applicant will have access to world class facilities for microfabrication, electron microscopy, biointerface engineering and characterization, and infectious disease research. The postodcotral fellow will work in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team led by Professors Soleymani and Didar at McMaster University with tremendous opportunities for collaboration.
Applicants for this position must have a PhD or be close to receiving their PhD degree with previous experience in at least three of these areas: micro/nano fabrication, surface engineering, antimicrobial coatings, microbiology.
