Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices while maintaining strong financial controls across multiple entities.
The position is heavily focused on invoice entry, purchase order and receipt matching, and investigating discrepancies to ensure transactions are complete and accurate. You will work closely with operations, receiving, and accounting to resolve issues efficiently and help maintain organized and reliable financial records. This role also provides exposure to vendor reconciliations and other accounts payable processes within a collaborative and growing accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently into the company's ERP system or document library.
- Review and verify all invoices for proper authorization, coding, and compliance with company policies.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Follow up on missing receipts, pricing differences, quantity discrepancies, and other exceptions.
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliations to ensure account accuracy.
- Maintain organized digital records for invoices and related documentation.
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient Accounts Payable operations.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or a related field is considered an asset.
- 1–3 years of Accounts Payable, accounting, data entry, or bookkeeping experience preferred, but not required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies independently.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software preferred.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Pay: $42,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
