Founded in 1993, WMB Holdings is an Eastern Canadian transportation company specializing in bulk feed transportation and logistics solutions. Over the past three decades, we have built strong relationships with customers, carriers, suppliers, and industry partners throughout Canada and the United States.
As part of our continued growth strategy, we are launching a brokerage division and are looking for a Freight Broker / Logistics Sales Representative to help build and grow this business.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join an established transportation company and play a key role in developing a new revenue stream from the ground up.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing customer relationships, securing freight opportunities, sourcing carrier capacity, and managing shipments while helping shape the future direction of the brokerage division.
We are looking for someone who enjoys sales, relationship building, problem solving, and creating opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers
- Prospect and secure new customer accounts
- Source carrier capacity and negotiate rates
- Coordinate freight movements and monitor service performance
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends
- Resolve service issues and communicate proactively with customers
- Work closely with operations and leadership to grow the brokerage division
- Maintain accurate records of customer and carrier activity
Qualifications
- Experience in freight brokerage, transportation sales, logistics, dispatch, or a related field
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of Canadian and U.S. transportation markets is an asset
- Existing industry relationships are an asset
Previous freight brokerage experience is preferred; however, experienced dispatchers, transportation sales professionals, and logistics coordinators looking to transition into a brokerage role are encouraged to apply.

Compensation
Compensation consists of a base salary plus an uncapped commission program based on gross margin generated.
