Read and interpret blueprints to calculate requirements of expectations
Build, erect and dismantle forms for concrete or as needed
Determine specifications, measure, cut, assemble wood or similar materials on project sites
Check accuracy of work and make adjustments as required
Place and Finish concrete to grade and surface tolerances specified
Operate tools including, but not limited to, handheld tools, power tools, and concrete finishing vibrators
Maintain awareness of internal and best practice safety procedures regarding your role or tools used
During down times, may be required to do some site clean-up and other duties as required
Ability to work in a team environment
Attention to detail and a commitment Work Environment
This position is physically demanding and involves exposure to all elements of outdoor work
Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, overnight and weekends
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to enforce regulations of establishments
Health & Safety Conscious
3 years’ experience in carpentry, concrete pouring or equivalent
Red Seal, or working towards Red Seal is an asset
Knowledge of heavy civil construction or similar job site experience is considered an asset
Valid driver’s license (drivers abstract maybe required)
Physically capable of working on-site, lifting up to 50 lbs and moving equipment and supplies as necessary
