Looking for a part-time pharmacist to manage a newly independent pharmacy in East York. Minimum two weekday shifts per week. Opportunity to also be a part-owner for the store. Pharmacy is located in a medical building. Current pharmacy does 15-30 rx a day, opened Mon to Fri 9-6pm. If interested in more, please apply and can further discuss opportunity. Responsibilities:
- Providing patient care in dispensary with duties such as: processing and filling prescriptions, documentation of clinical programs such as pharmaceutical opinions and immunizations, answering phone/fax in a professional manner
- Abide by approved prescriptions, duties and responsibilities as per the Ontario College of Pharmacy regulations
- Assist in preparing compliance blister packaging and simple non-sterile compounding
- Monitoring of site refrigeration temperatures and reporting any variances directly to the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on-duty
- Pharmacy opening and closing duties
- Create a healthy learning environment for students on site
- Inventory management including ordering and receiving of drugs and supplies
- Assist with general over-the-counter inquiries
- Assist with cashier responsibilities as required
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on-duty
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- OCP Pharmacy Pharmacist license
- Experience in working in the community pharmacy industry, including third party billing issues
- Self-starting and independent, as well as strong motivation to succeed
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer proficiency (Fillware or Kroll)
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and strong customer service skills
- Hours of operations: Mon-Fri 9:00- 6pm – schedules may change based on organizational needs
