Housekeeper / CleanerOverview
We are currently hiring Housekeepers/Cleaners for a new job opportunity. We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, organized, and hygienic environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of housekeeping and cleaning duties, including general cleaning, laundry, linen care, organizing supplies, and light meal preparation when required. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, able to manage their time effectively, and committed to maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Clean and maintain kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Complete laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and organizing clothing and linens.
- Make beds and change, organize, and maintain linens and towels as required.
- Perform regular and deep-cleaning tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Organize and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored and readily available.
- Monitor cleaning and household supplies and report when items need to be replenished.
- Assist with light cooking and meal preparation when required.
- Follow specific cleaning instructions, schedules, and preferences as required.
- Maintain a professional and respectful approach when interacting with individuals in the work environment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to requests or concerns.
- Follow appropriate health, safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
- Prioritize daily tasks effectively and complete assigned responsibilities within the required timeframe.
- Maintain discretion and respect for personal belongings, privacy, and the work environment.
- Report any damage, maintenance concerns, safety issues, or other relevant matters as required.
- Perform other housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Knowledge of appropriate cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
- Experience with laundry, linen care, and handling different types of fabrics.
- Ability to perform light cooking and basic food preparation is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is considered an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, flexible, and professional.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment.
