Position Summary
The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily coordination, scheduling, tracking, and communication of manufacturing activities within Credible Group’s production environment. This role works closely with the Manufacturing Manager, production supervisors, purchasing, design, CNC, upholstery, assembly, finishing, shipping, and administrative teams to ensure customer orders move through production efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
The Production Coordinator plays a key role in monitoring workflow, identifying delays, updating production priorities, maintaining production records, and ensuring that all departments have the information, materials, and timelines required to complete work orders successfully.
This position is well suited for an organized, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced custom furniture manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Coordination
- Assist the Manufacturing Manager with daily production planning, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
- Track the status of work orders from release to completion.
- Monitor production timelines and identify potential delays, shortages, or bottlenecks.
- Follow up with department leads to confirm progress on active jobs.
- Help ensure production priorities are clearly communicated to the appropriate teams.
- Coordinate between departments including framing, CNC, upholstery, sewing, assembly, finishing, quality control, and shipping.
- Ensure production schedules are updated and communicated as required.
- Assist in balancing workload across departments based on deadlines and available capacity.
Work Orders and Documentation
- Review production paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure work orders, drawings, specifications, fabric details, finishes, hardware requirements, and special instructions are properly communicated to production.
- Maintain organized production files and records.
- Update job status reports, production trackers, and internal schedules.
- Identify missing or unclear information and escalate concerns before production is delayed.
- Assist with maintaining accurate records of completed, pending, delayed, or revised orders.
Materials and Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with purchasing and inventory personnel to confirm availability of materials required for production.
- Follow up on shortages involving fabric, foam, wood, hardware, finishes, components, or other production materials.
- Communicate material delays to the Manufacturing Manager and affected departments.
- Assist in ensuring materials are staged or available before jobs are released to production.
- Help track special-order materials and customer-specific requirements.
Communication and Follow-Up
- Serve as a communication link between production, design, purchasing, sales, and shipping.
- Provide timely updates on production status when requested.
- Escalate urgent production concerns to the Manufacturing Manager.
- Attend production meetings and assist with action items.
- Follow up with team members to ensure deadlines and commitments are being met.
- Communicate professionally and clearly with internal departments.
Quality and Accuracy
- Support quality control by ensuring production teams are working from the correct drawings, specifications, and order details.
- Report quality concerns, rework issues, or recurring production problems to management.
- Assist in tracking deficiencies, corrections, and production errors.
- Help ensure completed products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards before moving to the next stage.
Shipping and Completion Support
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving to confirm order readiness.
- Assist with tracking completed goods, pending shipments, and priority deliveries.
- Help ensure production completion dates align with delivery schedules.
- Communicate any production delays that may affect shipping timelines.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling, communication, documentation, and workflow.
- Assist in implementing process improvements directed by the Manufacturing Manager.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and general workplace efficiency initiatives.
- Participate in production reviews, problem-solving discussions, and corrective action planning.
Pay: $48,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
