Position Summary
The Field Installation Coordinator/Scheduler at Savaria is responsible for planning and scheduling elevator installations, ensuring efficient manpower allocation and project management. Key duties include forecasting and coordinating installations, managing technical trades and contractors, and overseeing TSSA inspections. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and effective communication to maintain relationships with customers and internal teams.
Located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario
Responsibilities
Includes the following items. Other tasks may be assigned.
Scheduling:

Forecasting / planning all new and existing elevator installations throughout Ontario/Calgary.

Establish billing / collection schedules for new & existing elevators.

Plan delivery for all elevator deliveries to maximize efficiency and minimize freight cost.

Pull ESA permits for residential elevators.
Manpower Planning

Plan efficient mechanic schedules to meet budget & minimize O/T.

Develop Mechanics and hold them accountable to ensure budgets are met.

Problem solves major trade issues with the mechanics.

Follow -up on part related issues with the factory.

Approve timesheet.

Plan out of town trips with GC’s / TSSA.
Project Management:

Plan / Manage contractors to ensure efficient site work for our mechanics.

Manage technical trades: Electrical requirements, City building inspectors, Telephone / video requirements.

Answer GC calls and e-mails. Avg 150 to 200 per day.
TSSA
-
Plan TSSA inspection.
-
Complete TSSA packages for inspection and send to TSSA once inspection is confirmed. Mechanic Forms & TSSA Contractor Checklist.

Once the TSSA inspection report is received ensure timely completion for all directions. ( GC’s, Engineering & Mechanics)

Close out all consultant findings to ensure holdbacks are paid.

Minimum of one (1) to three (3) year experience in a similar role is ideal
