The Shop labourer-Driver candidate must be a safety conscious, hardworking individual. This is an entry level position and will be assisting more experienced shop techs. The driving record must be clean with a 5 -year history to be insured under the business and they will be driving a company truck for delvieries and pick ups.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions are required. Benefits for Life insurance, short and long term disability, health and dental will be available after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities of the Shop Labourer include, but are not limited to:
- Perform general shop duties as instructed.
- Perform general cleaning of work areas as instructed.
- Assist with assembly of valving and process piping.
- Prepare valves, piping, etc. for paint.
- Perform general labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Required Skills
- Clean valid class 5 license with 5 years of history
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to identify dangerous conditions and act accordingly.
- Able to understand and interpret instructions both verbal and written.
- Able to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and interact responsibly with coworkers.
- Safety oriented.
- Able to interact and perform successfully within a team environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism.
- Demonstrate initiative to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred (but not required) Skills & Abilities
- Experience in oilfield.
- Experience in Manufacturing.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role preferred
