Are you looking for a fun and innovative team who loves food and wine?
We are seeking a dynamic Wine Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine and providing exceptional customer service in a retail sales environment.
This role is responsible for day-to-day operations in the wine department, focusing on sales and wine related events.
*Duties*
- Engage with customers to identify their needs and preferences
- Recommending and selling wines to customers in store
- Demonstrate product features through wine product sampling
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
-Invoicing and filling licensee restaurant and online orders
- Ensuring appropriate and accurate inventory levels that meet sales and marketing needs while maintaining a high standard of store presentation.
- Assist in restocking merchandising and monitoring inventory levels
-Organizing inventory for in store and daily deliveries to clients
-Helping with promotions (new products, social media etc..)
and events such as wine sampling, tastings and dinners etc..
*Requirements*
-Smart serve certification
-WSET level one or above is preferred, *wine knowledge is required
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience in retail/and or restaurant environment preferred
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and communication skills
- Familiarity with cashiering procedures and cash handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service
-Operating a computer and POS system required
-Some heavy lifting required, extended hours of standing required
- some evening shifts required
-Must be available to work key times based on business requirements(store sales and events)
-Must have a valid Drivers License
