Position Profile:
This position will be based out of our Mississauga location, reporting to the Drafting Manager.

Responsibilities of the Draftsperson include:
Reviewing Drawings and Specifications (Architectural, Structural, Shop Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Material Take Offs)
Planning, executing shop drawing submission with inputs from job captains, design & engineering
Planning, executing fabrication releases with inputs from project managers & production schedule
Planning, executing material take off releases from approved shop drawings per procurement schedule
Organize, schedule, report projects and draftspersons to job captain daily
Liaise with construction teams to oversee the build and provide solutions to facilitate the process
Job site visits & investigation, documentation as required
Participating in departmental activities in terms of standards, process improvements

Skills/Qualifications of the Draftsperson include:
Must have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in the Curtain Wall industry
Minimum 2-5 years’ experience using AutoCAD
Minimum to have college degree in Architectural Technologist program, good understanding of building science theories, and applications to Curtain Wall
Autodesk Inventor and Revit skill a definite asset
Well versed using Autodesk Autocad, Inventor, 3D, Bluebeam Studio, MS Office, Outlook.
Effective written and oral communication skills required for frequent interactions with coworkers and customers
Understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction process and methods
Shows seasoned understanding of quality systems industry codes and standards, and is able to apply them effectively in varied situations
Must be a proactive team player, possess general office etiquette
