Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for every patient
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology for precise diagnostics
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic to ensure accurate documentation
- Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries
- Support patients with pediatric needs or orthodontic treatments, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote long-term dental health
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting with familiarity in Epic, Dentrix, or similar dental management software
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
- Experience working with pediatric patients or in orthodontic settings is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of dental procedures, sterilization protocols, and CAD technology for imaging and modeling
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent is preferred; ongoing training in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus
