Set to open in Ottawa this summer, Carletto is the latest restaurant from Gray Collection, bringing the elegance and warmth of Italy to Ottawa. Inspired by traditional Italian gatherings and the simple pleasure of good food, the restaurant blends authentic cuisine with a contemporary spirit. Featuring fresh pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and carefully selected ingredients, each dish celebrates sharing and generosity.
The Dishwasher plays a key role in supporting kitchen and service operations by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and maintained according to established standards. This position contributes to the overall efficiency of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation of all work areas. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wash all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans efficiently
- Organize and safely store clean dishes and kitchen equipment
- Operate dishwasher and kitchen equipment safely and according to guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station and kitchen areas
- Ensure proper handling and use of cleaning products and chemicals
- Assist in maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness, including work surfaces and floors
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly
- Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen areas and fixtures as required
- Support kitchen and service teams as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standard
QUALIFICATIONS
- Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and health & safety standards
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid work permit required
