What Will You Be Doing?
- Supervise the instructors in the pool and serve as a role model for all instructors to help promote the highest level of professionalism during shifts.
- Assume all instructor duties and enforce all procedures
- Communicate with Aquatics Supervisor to resolve any instructing or maintenance issues, and work together to create development plans to move instructing skills forward.
- Complete instructor evaluations on site during each Support Visit as scheduled
- Provide appropriate feedback both constructive and positive to instructors during and after support visits.
- Communicate frequently with Aquatics Supervisor on any current instructor issues or concerns, and instructor performance
- Meet with Aquatics Supervisor as required to discuss staffing needs, training, instructor progress, scheduling, client issues and/or concerns
- Work with Aquatics Supervisor to cover any instructor’s shift when they are sick or have an emergency
- Assist the Aquatics Supervisor with Quarterly Instructor staff meetings and training (Inservice)
- Train new instructor staff on the ALSA curriculum and standards during co-teaches
- Conduct water interviews during shifts, and communicate outcomes and suggestions for hiring.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Current National Lifeguard Certification or Bronze Cross Certification - A MUST HAVE
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR / AED level C - A MUST HAVE
- Lifesaving Instructor is preferred
