Buyer / Purchaser – Mining & Supply Chain
About the Role
Talisker Resources is seeking a Procurement & Contracts Specialist to support the continued growth of the Bralorne Gold Project as the Company transitions from an exploration-stage company into a producing junior mining operation.
Reporting to the Procurement & Commercial Manager, this role combines procurement, contract administration, commercial management, and continuous improvement responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, finance, exploration, and project teams to optimize supply chain performance, manage costs, support strategic sourcing initiatives, and help develop scalable business processes to support future growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Supply Chain
- Source and procure materials, equipment, consumables, and services required for site operations and capital projects.
- Generate, manage, and administer purchase orders in accordance with company policies and approval requirements.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier selection processes.
- Coordinate procurement activities with operations, maintenance, exploration, and project teams.
- Monitor inventory requirements and support inventory optimization initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation activities to remote site operations.
- Support warehouse and materials management processes.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Assist in the development, administration, and monitoring of service agreements and contracts.
- Support tendering, bid evaluations, and contract award recommendations.
- Monitor contractor performance, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with change management, contract amendments, and commercial negotiations.
- Maintain contract databases, renewal schedules, and commercial documentation.
- Support claims review, cost tracking, and contractor performance reporting.
- Prepare and issue requests for quotation and requests for proposal, and coordinate the tender process through to contract award.
- Support vendor prequalification and onboarding, including verification of insurance certificates, WorkSafeBC clearance letters, and safety documentation.
- Review contractor invoices, progress claims, and change orders against contract terms, approved rates, and scope.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support the continued development and optimization of Acumatica ERP and related business systems.
- Participate in process mapping, workflow improvements, and system enhancement projects.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory, asset management, procurement, and contract management processes.
- Support future integration of project costing, asset management, and service management systems.
Cross-Functional Support
- Participate in operational planning meetings and project reviews.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Support the development of procurement and commercial policies, procedures, and standards.
- Work in accordance with the Company’s health, safety, and environmental policies and applicable BC mining legislation.
- Perform other duties as required to support safe and efficient mining operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business administration, commerce, engineering, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- SCMP, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, or a similar designation (or working toward one) considered an asset.
- 3–7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, contracts, or commercial management.
- Experience within mining, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or resource sectors preferred.
- Experience supporting remote or site-based operations considered an asset.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Dynamics, or similar platforms.

· Familiarity with Canadian customs and tariff classification, import duties, and cross-border logistics considered an asset.
Additional Details:
Location: BC Based, Remote Work, Hybrid with occasional travel to our project mine site.
Job Type: Full-time, Regular
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Compensation Range: CA$75,000 to $115,000 (depending on experience and scope)
