Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring food items according to recipes.
- Assist in meal preparation by following established recipes and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to minimize waste and ensure safety.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling, food safety standards, and meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures used in restaurant settings.
