Ben Hokum & Son Limited is seeking a Certified Industrial Millwright to join their night-shift maintenance team. The regular shift is 3:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Maintain sawmill and material-handling equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
- Repair bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, gearboxes, drives, and related components
- Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, alignment, and equipment setup
- Identify the root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective action
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvement projects
- Document maintenance activities and repairs using the CMMS
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
Education and Experience
- Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification
- Construction Millwright certification may be considered with relevant industrial experience
- Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Sawmill or manufacturing experience considered an asset
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently
- Availability to work the 3:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. night shift
