Site Plus Electrical Solutions Inc. is a growing electrical contracting company based in Brantford, Ontario, serving Brantford and the surrounding areas. We focus on commercial, industrial, and service-based electrical work, and we are looking for a strong Operations Manager to help lead our team, improve profitability, and drive consistent execution across the business.
This is a key leadership role for someone who understands how to manage people, schedules, labour productivity, job flow, and customer expectations in a contracting or service-based environment.
A background in the electrical trade is an asset, but the priority is finding a proven leader who knows how to run efficient operations, hold teams accountable, reduce rework, improve labour utilization, and help jobs hit gross profit targets.
About the Role
The Electrical Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the company, including labour planning, scheduling, job execution, team performance, workflow, customer communication, and operational follow-through.
You will work closely with ownership, field staff, administrative staff, customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure work is completed efficiently, profitably, safely, and to Site Plus standards.
The right person will be organized, commercially aware, comfortable managing field teams, and able to turn company goals into clear daily action.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations across field and office teams
- Manage labour scheduling, crew allocation, and job priorities
- Improve labour utilization and reduce downtime, inefficiencies, and missed handoffs
- Monitor job performance to help ensure work is completed on time and on budget
- Support gross profit targets through better planning, communication, and execution
- Identify causes of rework, callbacks, missed inspections, delays, and margin erosion
- Work with field staff to improve quality, productivity, and accountability
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, contractors, suppliers, and internal team members
- Review job progress, workforce productivity, work quality, and project performance
- Support estimating, quoting, job costing, invoicing, and project closeout where required
- Ensure jobs are properly planned, staffed, communicated, and completed to company standards
- Help build and improve systems for scheduling, job tracking, quality control, and communication
- Coach, train, and hold team members accountable to company expectations
- Assist with onboarding new employees and reinforcing company standards
- Review and adjust schedules to meet customer needs and changing job conditions
- Report regularly to ownership on labour utilization, job progress, profitability concerns, customer issues, and operational performance
- Recommend staffing changes, training needs, process improvements, and performance actions
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership or operations management experience
- Experience managing teams in construction, trades, service, contracting, facilities, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar operational environment
- Strong understanding of labour productivity, scheduling, job costing, and profitability
- Ability to manage multiple jobs, people, and priorities at the same time
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
- Comfortable holding people accountable and addressing performance issues
- Ability to identify operational problems and implement practical solutions
- Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to resolve issues professionally
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with scheduling, dispatching, estimating, CRM, or project management software is an asset
- Valid Canadian driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Assets
- Experience in the electrical trade or another skilled trade
- 309A Electrical Licence
- Knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Experience working with electricians, apprentices, subcontractors, or field crews
- Experience managing gross profit targets, labour budgets, rework, and job costing
- Experience in a growing owner-operated company
