About the Role
OneStop KWC is looking for an experienced and reliable handyman/handyperson to take on residential service appointments across Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge.
This is not a full-time employee role. This is a freelance / independent contractor opportunity for someone who wants to take on jobs when appointments are available and fits their schedule.
When a customer books an appointment that matches your skill set and availability, we will notify you. If you accept the job, you will be expected to arrive on time, complete the work professionally, communicate clearly, and represent OneStop well in the customer’s home.
We are looking for someone who is not only skilled with tools, but also dependable, respectful, and customer-friendly.
Important Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of handyman / residential repair experience
- Must have your own insurance
- Must be comfortable working as a freelance / independent contractor
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have your own tools for the work you are qualified to perform
- Must be able to travel to appointments across Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge
- Must include your availability in your resume or application
- Applications without availability will not be considered
Type of Work
Typical jobs may include:
- Minor drywall patching and repair
- Door adjustments and hardware replacement
- Cabinet adjustments and minor modifications
- Shelf, curtain rod, mirror, and TV mounting
- Furniture assembly
- Caulking and finishing work
- Basic painting touch-ups
- Trim and small carpentry work
- Minor bathroom and kitchen repairs
- Replacing handles, hinges, locks, and fixtures
- General residential odd jobs and small repair tasks
- Punch-list items and light home maintenance work

Experience Required
Applicants must have at least 5 years of relevant handyman or residential maintenance experience.
We are specifically looking for people with real hands-on experience in residential jobs such as repairs, installations, adjustments, mounting, light carpentry, finishing, and general home maintenance.
Insurance Requirement
Applicants must have their own valid insurance and be prepared to provide proof if requested.
Pay Structure
This is a paid freelance opportunity. Payment is based on approved appointments/jobs completed.
This is best suited for someone who is already set up to operate independently and is looking for consistent side work or additional booked jobs.
