Program Assistant

Under the general supervision of the Executive Assistant the Program Assistant is responsible for registration and cashier services for CS; provides clerical support and assistance to students, instructors and CS administrators; assists in room bookings, compiling student statistical information and files, administers pre-tests, responds to general inquiries, provides customer service for internal and external customers.

Education and Experience
Completion of Grade 12 plus one year post-secondary training in Office Administration or equivalent. Over 1 year and up to and including 2 years of related experience. Familiarity with CS registration systems and processes.

Skills and Abilities
Proficient in the use of computer systems and software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) and internet. Must possess oral and written communications skills, customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates that have completed education or training programs related to customer service, interpersonal skills, and/or dealing with difficult people. Experience in dealing with public in an administrative environment within a continuing education or training department of an organization would be an asset.
