Duties:
- Set up, adjust, and operate the PFM Flow Wrapper Packaging machine
- Ensure products are wrapped properly with a proper seal, clear best before date, proper film length and film print positioning
- Follow GMP rules and perform proper sanitation practices before each product packaging run
- Assist in setting up new products on the horizontal flow wrapper
- Make corrective adjustments and modifications to equipment and clean machines to improve performance and efficiency
- Perform weekly maintenance on packaging equipment and bakery equipment
- Determine what parts are needed for packaging equipment, source the parts, and arrange for pick up
- Troubleshoot all packaging equipment problems
- Lead the Sanitation Team on monthly deep cleaning of all packaging equipment.
- Check products to ensure conformance to company standards and clear machine blockages as required
- Record production information such as quantity, weight, size, date and type of products packaged
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- 2+ years of relevant experience in machine operation for the food and beverage processing is required
- Experience with the PFM brand of flow wrapper.
