Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This dual-role position involves providing exceptional patient care, occasionally managing front desk operations, and supporting the clinical team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Dentrix dental software, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience working in a fast-paced dental office environment. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits using dental management software such as Dentrix or Epic
- Maintain accurate patient records, including electronic medical records and treatment histories
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
- Assist the dental team during procedures, including sterilization and preparation of instruments
- Assist the dentist during procedures including taking of x-rays
- Collect payments, verify insurance information, and process billing transactions
- Manage correspondence, including emails and appointment reminders
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized and welcoming
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant; IPAC: HARP Certification
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a busy environment
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures is required
- Professional demeanor with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
