Experienced Shipper/Receiver
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for an Experienced Shipper/Receiver on behalf of one of our valued clients. This organization is a recognized leader in the distribution of products and solutions that support municipal infrastructure, water systems, construction projects, and essential community services across Canada. We are seeking a motivated, safety-conscious, and customer-focused individual who enjoys a hands-on role in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Full-Time, Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments
- Load and unload trucks safely
- Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts
- Assist customers at the service counter and provide exceptional customer service
- Process customer pickups and inquiries
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts
- Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation
- Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard environment
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing work areas
- Follow company health and safety policies and procedures
- Support other warehouse and operational functions as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3–4 years of Shipper/Receiver experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Proven experience operating both Counterbalance and Reach forklifts
- Valid forklift certification is mandatory
- Strong inventory control and order fulfillment experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Computer literate with experience using inventory systems, warehouse software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Able to work both indoors and outdoors as required
- Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
