Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other desserts.
- Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair, ensuring high-quality presentation.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, assembling, and packaging products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle food products safely, following proper handling procedures to ensure quality and safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions.
- Package baked goods for retail display or takeout orders efficiently and attractively.
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with various kitchen duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cake decorating, baking, pastry or restaurant food preparation preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling safety regulations and proper hygiene practices.
- Experience working in the food industry or kitchen environment is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with an artistic eye for cake decoration and presentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Basic knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation procedures.
