Job Description:
Saint Laurent Consulting is seeking a passionate and creative Coding Instructor to teach and coach young students (ages 6-18). As an instructor, you will inspire the next generation of coders through engaging, hands-on lessons. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching and is excited about sharing their knowledge of programming with enthusiastic young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Teach programming fundamentals using platforms such as Python, C++, Unity, and Scratch
- Foster a fun and open-minded learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups and learning styles
- Provide support, encouragement, and guidance to students
- Collaborate with the team to develop creative lesson plans and activities
- Continuously learn and stay updated on new tools and programming trends
Requirements:
- Passion for teaching and coaching young students (ages 6-18)
- Open-minded, creative approach to problem-solving and learning
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with basic programming tools such as Python, C++, Unity, Scratch, etc.
- A willingness to share knowledge and learn from others
- Availability on Sundays (mandatory), with optional availability on Saturdays
- English proficiency is mandatory; French is optional
Preferred Qualifications:
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring is a plus
